Leonard M. Anthony, Principal Executive
Mr. Anthony has more than 25 years of financial and operational management experience. He currently serves on the Board of Directors for McJunkin Red Man Corporation, where he is the Chair of its Audit Committee. Previously, Mr. Anthony served as President and Chief Executive Officer of WCI Steel, Inc., an integrated producer of custom steel products, as well as a member of the board of directors.
Prior to this, Mr. Anthony was the Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of Dresser-Rand Group Inc., a global supplier of rotating equipment solutions to the oil, gas, petrochemical and processing industries. Additionally, he has served as the Chief Financial Officer of International Steel Group Inc., and worked at Bethlehem Steel Corporation, where he held various managerial and leadership positions.
Mr. Anthony earned a B.S. in accounting from Pennsylvania State University, an M.B.A. from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania, and an A.M.P. from Harvard Business School. Mr. Anthony's significant executive and board experience within the steel manufacturing industry qualifies him to help assess our business and growth opportunities, as well as to provide insight into corporate governance and management best practices among peer companies.
Christopher L. Poplaski, President
Mr. Poplaski has more than 20 years of management experience in the machining and fabrication industry developing and implementing effective operations with a focus on long-term growth and cost reduction strategies. During the course of his career, Mr. Poplaski has proven his ability to identify and capture market opportunities to accelerate expansion, increase revenues, and improve profit contributions in a variety of industries. He has extensive operational knowledge and skills including operations and project management, business development, commercial negotiations, procurement, strategic business planning and sales management. He is fluent in ASME Section III, VIII and NQA-1 industry certifications and requirements.
Prior to working with TechPrecision, Mr. Poplaski most recently served as Vice President of Operations for Amer Industrial Technologies. Over his career, he also held roles of increasing responsibility in sales and management for Electric Mobility Corporation, Joseph Oat Corporation, and Conam Inspection.
Mr. Poplaski had been serving as vice president of corporate operations for TechPrecision since joining the Company in March, 2011. In that position, he was responsible for helping TechPrecision and Wuxi Critical Mechanical Components Co., Ltd., expand production volumes in China, as well as lead efforts to locate and establish a second manufacturing operation in the United States to support the Company’s continued growth.
Mr. Poplaski studied mechanical engineering at Drexel University.
